to S. Khatib . . . . You have GOT to be kidding!! I am the co-author / photographer of Urban Tails. GROW UP already! There are certain truths in life! This book is a loving TRUTH about the alleycats that we cared for and loved. I STILL take care of them! We tell the truth about the plight of the little street warriors we became friends with, which at times is no walk in the park. The whole point is to tell people the truth, so people will get proactive in assisting feral animal / cats. The book is certainly not "graphic" in any way at all, BUT it is truthful. I have no problems if you don't like our book, but you are so far off base with hyperbole and over reaction, that I felt I had to write something in response. If you put your head in the sand . . . how do you get by in life? This is a tender book, written and photographed with great love and respect. This is not a pollyanna world . . . . but it can be made better with love and by helping one another. But you have to have 'truth'. Your over the top review could very well stop someone from buying the book, thus not helping alleycats. Believe me, we are not making money from this book! It's purpose is to bring the alleycat issue to people. Again, it was done with absolute love, respect to the feral cats and tenderness toward them. All the cats were trapped, spayed and neutered . . . homes were found for many. Sadly, to leave a comment, I have to leave a rating . . I hate to rate our own book so I will rate Sara's writing alone . . not my photos.
